Can Math Explain Your Feelings? The Simple Formula Connecting Human Emotions

Human Emotions (Angry, Sad, Calm and understand, happy))

What we are going to do?

The human brain is an extremely complex organ. Some of its mechanisms remain a mystery. Given this, describing human emotions using the simple equation we are about to mention is a very primitive exercise. However, through this, we are trying to encourage you to create new applications for mathematics.

The Formula

$$M=\frac{1}{k}(Awh)-T$$

First, let's look at the quantities assigned to the terms in this formula.

M    = Mental confusion / Psychological distress
k    = Understanding / Comprehension
A    = Anger caused by hatred
w    = Weakness
h    = Helplessness
T    = Endurance / Capacity to bear (or tolerate)

The special thing here is that these terms are not assigned physical quantities, but rather human thoughts and moods (or psychological states).

Although it is not practical to assign values to human thoughts, let's assume that there are values for the moods and thoughts mentioned here.

Let's have a look for the formula,

The quantity being focused on (or the subject of the formula) is Mental Confusion. This means we are examining how Mental Confusion changes when the other psychological states (or moods) vary.

It can be seen that when the product of the quantities representing the psychological states:
  • Anger caused by hatred (A)
  • Weakness (w), and
  • Helplessness (h)                       increases,
the value of Mental Confusion increases. This means that as the values of those quantities (anger, weakness, helplessness) increase, your mind becomes more confused.
However, the product mentioned above (Awh) is multiplied by a term of the form $$\frac{1}{k}$$
This means that the entire product is effectively being divided by the quantity 'Understanding' (k).

Therefore, it can be seen that when your Understanding (k) increases, the value of the expression $$\frac{Awh}{k}$$ decreases.
$$k\uparrow\quad\Rightarrow\quad\left( \frac{Awh}{k} \right)\downarrow$$
In simple terms, this shows that when your Understanding is high, the probability or possibility of becoming mentally confused is reduced.

The next quantity in the formula is Endurance (T). According to the formula, the value obtained from (Awh/k) must be reduced by (T).

This means that as your Endurance (T) increases, the likelihood of you becoming mentally confused during a problem or crisis also decreases.

$$T\uparrow \quad \Rightarrow \quad \left( \frac{Awh}{k}-T \right)\downarrow \quad \Rightarrow \quad M\downarrow $$

The relationship between Understanding and Endurance

Let's primarily examine the relationship between the two main psychological states that can be seen in this formula, as follows.
According to the formula, when the value of your Understanding, or the value of (k), increases, the value of (Awh/k) decreases.

$$k\uparrow\quad\Rightarrow\quad\left( \frac{Awh}{k} \right)\downarrow$$

In this way, when the value of (k) (Understanding) is relatively very large, the value of (Awh/k) becomes very small.

It then becomes clear that even if the required value of Endurance (T) is low, it is not a problem for you to maintain Mental Confusion (M) at a low value.

According to the formula, it can be demonstrated that:

"The greater your Understanding (), the less amount of Endurance () you require, to live without confuse your mind."

Ultimate Understanding

A glowing, ethereal symbol of boundless knowledge or infinite understanding radiating light, representing ultimate spiritual realization

The formula can also be used to explain that supreme figures like Jesus Christ and the Buddha, who possess infinite understanding, gain no benefit from the quantity of endurance.

$$M=\frac{1}{k}(Awh)-T$$
$$k\simeq \infty \quad \Rightarrow \quad \left( \frac{Awh}{k} \right)\simeq 0$$
$$\therefore \quad M=0-T$$
$$M=-T$$

Since (-M), or negative mental confusion, does not exist, in this case, T must equal 0. This proves that, in such a scenario (where understanding is infinite), endurance () is of no benefit.

This point is important for all of our lives.So,

"Strive to increase your understanding, as it will bring relief to your entire life".

Ending

Although this formula is not 100% accurate, I believe you will agree that it is a very beautiful mathematical construction (or formulation).

I invite you to share your thoughts below after reading this. Your opinions are very important to us.

Let's meet again with another such beautiful thought.
